Twenty years ago, no one had heard of life, business or corporate coaching. Today it is featured in New York Times, Fortune Magazine, Oprah and CNN. But still, most of the  world has not heard of it. Coaching will continue to grow at tremendous speed as it has proven to help many people in handling their life and work issues.


Coaching is strongest in the United States, followed by the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand and is reaching more and more countries all the time. In Malaysia, coaching is still relatively new and it is evidenced by the handful of specially trained coaches.


Coaching makes a valuable contribution to the process of helping people to experience life the way they want to experience it. For some people, coaching can literally change their lives for the better. With the support of a coach, people can make clearer judgements about situation, learn more from experiences, make better choices and take more effective decision or actions.


For most of us life can be difficult at times. We place tremendous pressure on ourselves to have a lot, do a lot, and be generally successful in those areas of life we consider important. That might be having a great job, a great relationship, financial freedom - generally living a fabulous life.


There is no absolute right or wrong for trying to get all of the above, but coaching can be a valuable source  of counterbalance to that pressure we’ve given to ourselves. By engaging the services of a coach, we can begin to focus on what really is important to us and begin to shape what we need to do to align with our value and life purpose.
